Build it better

Solar Electric Systems (Photovoltaic)

Solar PV Modules (Solar Panels)

Homeowners use the solar power generated on their rooftops to supply their own power needs, and then either sell the excess to local utilities or store in batteries for later use.

Solar Electric System

Bi-Directional Meters

A meter hooked up to the homeowner’s system measures electricity going both ways—power coming in from conventional power utilities, and solar power being generated from the home. During the day, solar arrays can transfer electricity back into the grid and lower electricity bills.

Solar Batteries

Homes can also have batteries (or electric cars) to store excess energy. This eliminates the costs of line service charges from utility companies.
