Solar PV Modules (Solar Panels)
Homeowners use the solar power generated on their rooftops to supply their own power needs, and then either sell the excess to local utilities or store in batteries for later use.
Bi-Directional Meters
A meter hooked p to the homeowner’s system measures electricity going both ways – energy coming in from conventional power utilities, and solar energy being generated at the home. During the day, solar arrays can transfer electricity back into the grid and lower electricity bills.
Solar Batteries
Homes can also have batteries (or electric cars) to store excess energy. This reduces or eliminates the cost of line service charges from utility companies.
